About CANOE - KAYAK
Initially the canoe was used by Indians. In N. America to move in lakes and rivers as shown by the name Canadian Canoe. They made canoes from lightweight wood frame, dressed them with bark and waterproofed with resin.
The Kayaks more used by the Greenland Eskimos who were originally from skins. The use of the vessels in both cases was intended to move goods and finding food. The canoe was adapted to the needs of the manufacturers and their nomadic life. Usually they could fit one or two rowers and a load. indeed it was so light, so the rower could carry on the head of the canoe of several kilometers, when circumstances forced him out of the water.
The Kanoe- Kayaking is a sport with little history in our country. Specifically, studying the sport in depth, we observe that the canoe and kayaks today are made from mainly glass fiber and high-quality plastic, one or two people inside.
The kayaks are smaller in size than the canoe, with a pointed bow and stern and usually with a single exposure. There sits the rower uses double-piece paddle with outstretched legs and tucked in the front. Thus the body from the waist up appears to be an extension of the vessel. The canoe is what has only one paddle (on the one hand, that is) and the rowing athlete kneeling. The kayak has larger double paddle (from both sides) and the athlete seated rowing. The rower wearing a waterproof cover - spray skirt- around the middle of which is secured to kayak, covering the opening and preventing the water from entering the vessel. Within a canoe, just a few centimeters above the water, we are in the ideal spot to enjoy the river and the nature, get away entirely from everyday life and to relax completely. Our kayak offers a unique feeling of freedom.
Our meeting point is in Hotel Taxiarches at Aristi village established our company where our modern facilities will take all the necessary equipment..

The buses will take us to take us to the starting point where our guide will give us a short lesson and we may start.
We sit comfortably. We mean to be resting on the seat, if any, and the knees are bent in a comfortable position. If the legs are too stretched, you will get tired at the back. If you are too bent, the paddle will be hitting your knees.
The canoe kayak is an activity that exercises the body without charges joints. Simultaneously is arranger and develops sociability because of their collective nature. "overturned" easily .The rower in this case has two options: it can make a rotation in water (Eskimo roll), using their hips and paddle and climb back to the surface, or get out of the kayak, to return to normal position, to drain the water and put back into it. Capsize rowers must be ready to leave the water, to regain control of the canoe and climb back into it through the water.
If you want more details about our programs do not hesitate to to call us or contact us and we will give you more detailed information and directions.
level OF DIFFICULTY FOR Canoe - Kayak
Like all adventure sports, Canoe - Kayak as well has some level of danger and therefore some safety rules. The rivers in which someone may go Canoe - Kayak are classified according to level of difficulty. An internationally prevailed according to which the grading system varies from 1 to 6.
|LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY||DESCRIPTION||RISKINESS|
|(1) Easy||Water moves quickly with low turbulence and waves. Few prominent obstacles easily avoided with a little education.||Minimum risk for swimmers. You can manage one and alone.|
|(2) For beginners||Simple vortices with clearly passes. You may need to make some maneuvers, but the rocks and the waves are easily avoided.||Moderate things. Normally river crossings, small eddies, low speed, easily overlooked and many eddies (quiet spots to stop and rest). Recommended for beginners couples.|
|(3) Moderate difficulty||Whirlpools with moderate and volatile waves can cajole an open canoe. Avoiding them difficult. Required: complicated maneuvers in fast current, good boat control in tight passages.||This indeed. Relatively hard, bigger waves and more increased speed, narrower passages, additional eddies, stoppers (hidden points "stick" the boat and require quick and powerful paddle) and fewer eddies. Recommended for new, more active people in good physical condition, even if they are novices|
|(4) Advanced||Large powerful but predictable whirlpools require precise handling in turbulent waters. Dangerous places: small drops, sinks etc. They are depending on the river. Requires knowledge of special handling of the boat.||The adrenaline really starts to rise. Quite difficult "track" with tracks that require continuous surveillance, hidden obstacles, more tiring with fewer eddies. Recommended for people who have several times rafting and have strengths and -the important of here is not playing and not throw them grumpy the gang in the river.|
|(5) Experienced||Large protracted or very strong vortices with obstacles that may put at risk the rower. Steep falls from small heights, difficult, complex routes and obstacles can not be avoided.||Do not attempt this if you have not attended seriously rafting courses and you are not experienced enough. This stage involves difficult routes with large water velocity and waterfalls. Required special equipment, good training and experience in rescue procedures.|
|(6) For highly experienced||Often these routes are unpredictable and may exceed the risk limits with the difficulty and the obstacles.||Mistakes here can be fatal, as rescue may be difficult. Only for very experienced teams, after checking with all precautions.|
Also if anyone wants to deal more systematically with the canoe kayak and interested to difficult and extreme rapids can attend one of the schools organized by our company. The schools are made in 6 days 5-6 hours in 3 consecutive weekends in a row a week and include a practical and theoretical training sequence. The price includes except education travel and basic equipment (boat, helmets, life jackets, paddles). The courses are held throughout the year with minimum participation of 4 persons.
You can select the river trip you want to follow depending on the level of difficulty.
